Job summary

Diamondfoundry is looking for an industrial technician to focus on cleaning and maintaining plasma reactors as well as troubleshooting various systems. Job description

Company Overview

Diamond Foundry Inc. produces the world’s first single‑crystal diamond wafers used in high‑performance AI, cloud compute, electric‑car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless technologies.

Position Overview

We are seeking an industrial equipment‑focused technician who will primarily clean plasma reactors and occasionally build, install, maintain, and troubleshoot plasma reactors (CVD tools). The role supports an experienced maintenance team and collaborates with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers worldwide. The technician will work one of the following shifts: Graveyard (6:00 pm–6:00 am) or Swing (1:00 pm–1:00 am).

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning plasma reactors to ensure quality.
  • Installing, upgrading, and maintaining plasma reactors (CVD tool).
  • Troubleshooting industrial control and electrical systems, including high‑voltage power supplies, controllers, sensors, pumps, PLCs, valves, and other devices.
  • Planning and executing upgrades and retrofits to improve tool reliability and process capabilities.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems.
  • Basic computer skills such as data entry in spreadsheets, completing online checklists, and maintaining a safe working environment on and around the production floor.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2‑year technical degree, certificate, or military technical background in mechanical, electrical, equipment, systems, or related fields.
  • Assembly and troubleshooting experience with high‑vacuum systems, including leak detection.
  • Experience troubleshooting a variety of electrical and mechanical systems from three‑phase AC power to low‑voltage DC board‑level signals.
Physical Requirements
  • Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform tasks such as sitting, standing for long periods, walking, grasping, reaching with hands and arms, lifting below and above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, climbing, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, using fine finger manipulation, and completing repetitive motions.
  • Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs.
  • Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls.
  • Lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb ladder up to 20 ft and properly use fall protection equipment.
