Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Equipment Operator operates motorized riding equipment within the Distribution Center, manually loads and unloads trailers, moves merchandise to designated areas, and handles merchandise put away or pulled from storage. Outfitter will be cross-trained in other departments as needed and may be assigned to special projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
2. Operates motorized riding equipment.
3. Loads or unloads trailers manually, including items like grills, tree stands, safes, kayaks, etc.
4. Transports products to staging or processing areas.
5. Loads outbound trailers.
6. Routes received merchandise to storage and verifies identification.
7. Uses scanners to read bar codes on labels and products.
8. Operates equipment in storage racking up to 30 ft high.
9. Performs safety checks.
10. Assists with daily cleanup duties.
11. Drives equipment 75% or more of the time during shift.
12. Performs manual or physical duties as needed by DC operations.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum age of 18.
2. Successful completion of a driving and written test is required.

1. Ability to be machine certified.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to perform repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, and climbing.
2. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs repeatedly.
3. Good hand-eye coordination.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks under supervision with well-defined policies; limited independent judgment.
