Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating powered industrial truck-type equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of terminal operations principles.
• Experience with power and hand tools.
• Knowledge of safety and accident prevention codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of cargo stowage and stability desired.
• Must observe safety and health requirements.
• Able to operate large equipment and direct a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills for operational issues.
• Able to follow instructions and work varied hours.
• Good communication with workforce and staff.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot operations.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with staff while handling cargo as directed, safely and in a manner to complete tasks according to plans.
• Support, monitor, and troubleshoot, when necessary, ensuring data is accurate and informing terminal staff of any discrepancies.
• May participate in physical inventories to verify stock and ordering needs
• Must understand and adhere to safety procedures while implementing plans to address safety hazards.
• Report problems and issues to the appropriate Manager.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Perform other related duties as required.
