Qualifications

Overview

TheEquipmentOperatorpositionutilizesheavyequipmentoperationknowledgein the constructionandmaintenanceof ournation'sPowerGrid.Youwillassistyourteaminbuilding,repairing, andmaintainingoverheadelectricaldistributionsystems.

Theteam-memberis frequentlyrequiredtoperformrigorousphysicallabor;sit;climbdifferenttypesof structures(wood,steel,etc.);orbalance;andstoop,kneelcrouchorcrawl.Team-membersfrequentlylift ormoveuptoorin-excessof50 lbs. Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythisjobincludeclosevision, distancevision,colorvision,peripheralvision,depthperceptionandabilitytoadjustfocus.

Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,team-membersmayfrequentlybeexposedtofumesor airborne particles,movingmechanicalpartsandvibration.Team-membersareoccasionallyexposedtoavarietyof extremeconditionsatconstructionjobsites.Thenoiselevelin theworkenvironmentcanbe loud. • Frequentlyworkswithenergizedhighvoltagesystemsrequiringskillandcaretoprotectthelives ofthemselvesandothers
• Maintainscompanyvehicles,equipmentandtoolsingoodworkingorder
