Job summary

NXTPoint Logistics is seeking a forklift operator for its night shift in a climate-controlled warehouse. You will safely operate MHE to move, stack, and prepare goods for shipment, with responsibilities spanning loading, unloading, inventory, and labeling.

The role requires at least 6 months of equipment operation experience and adherence to OSHA standards. Work is in a warehouse environment with potential exposures to varying temperatures and noise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months verifiable work experience operating material handling equipment in the prior 36 months.
• OSHA standards knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and other MHE safely per methods and OSHA standards.
• Load, unload, stack, and stage product to storage or trailers.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment with accuracy.
• Maintain inventory records and assist in stock checks.

The scope of this position includes all phases of warehousing depending on needs including, shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing and forklift operation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards including daily inspection and maintenance.Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices (to include; forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch or motorized pallet rider).Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments.Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or containers.Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.Perform pick and pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure proper inventory control and security measures are followed and maintained.May assist in physical inventories.QUALIFICATONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
