TPC Southwind in Memphis, TN is seeking an Equipment Operator II to support golf course maintenance, performing duties of the Operator I and assisting with daily tasks to keep the course in top condition. You will maintain logs for machine operation and fuel usage, inspect equipment, and follow safety and maintenance procedures.

This role requires physical activity and shifts as needed; travel is not expected.

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months experience as an Equipment Operator I, or at least one year in golf course operations.
Education in turfgrass management may substitute for experience.

Mansioni

Perform duties of Equipment Operator I and assist with routine golf course maintenance tasks.

Equipment Operator II – Responsibilities & Duties

Perform all duties and/or tasks relative to the Equipment Operator I position. Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machine. Perform daily tasks necessary to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe. Clean machinery after each use. Inspect all machines and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Technician. Perform other functions and routine golf course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II. Be thoroughly trained for the procedures at each task prior to performing task. Follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task. Perform specific tasks related to the Operator I and II training including the following:

Tri-plex mow tees
Tri-plex mow approaches
Tri-plex mow fairway collar
Tri-plex mow rough
Aerify greens and tees
Spike greens
Vertical mow greens and tees
Mechanical top dress greens and tees
Operate sod cutter
Mechanical bunker raking
Drainage Installation and repair

Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards. Special projects or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education. Must have 6 months experience as an Equipment Operator I or at least one year of experience in golf course operations or similar position. Education in turfgrass management, or related field, may be substituted for work experience requirement.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 50 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
