Job summary

Caltrans is seeking an Equipment Operator II in Eureka, CA to assist with District-wide bridge and culvert maintenance, cleaning, and repair. You may work on elevated platforms and harnesses and may be assigned to work out of town 50% of the time.

Candidates must have a valid Class A driver's license with Tank endorsement; Hazardous Materials endorsement is desirable. This is a 12-month limited-term, full-time position at the California Department of Transportation.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A driver's license with Tank endorsement.
• Hazardous Materials endorsement desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bridge and culvert maintenance, cleaning and repair.
• Work from harness and platforms at elevated heights.
• Coordinate with crews and sometimes work out of town (per diem).
