Davis County Government in Fruit Heights, Utah seeks Equipment Operator I/II to perform semi-skilled and skilled truck driving and heavy equipment operation for road and flood-control projects.

Salary is $20.47–$33.41 per hour with benefits starting Day One, including medical coverage, vacation and sick leave, personal days, holidays, parental leave after 6 months, a pension, 401(k) match, and yearly pay increases.

Qualifications

• High school graduation plus one year of full-time truck driving experience (Level I).
• Level II requires two years of full-time experience driving equipment of similar type and size.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL and a Driver's Medical Card; may require additional licenses/training.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-use inspections on trucks and equipment.
• Drives trucks for loading, delivery and unloading of various road materials.
• Operates heavy equipment for road construction and repair projects.
• Sets up traffic control devices and assists in utility and drainage work.
• Maintains and cleans trucks and equipment, adheres to safety standards.
