Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking an Equipment Operator to manage the operation of Combilifts, overhead cranes, forklifts, and cherry pickers across our warehouse, shop, and yard.

The role requires 1+ years of industrial equipment experience, the ability to perform safety inspections, and a willingness to perform general labor tasks as needed. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating industrial equipment in yard or warehouse environments.
• Ability to inspect equipment and report issues to maintenance.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Combilift, overhead crane, cherry pickers and forklifts to move heavy objects.
• Inspect equipment before use and report maintenance needs.
• Perform rigging duties when required and assist with general warehouse tasks.
• Follow instructions with minimal supervision and complete assigned tasks.
