Job Summary:
Operates construction, excavating and loading equipment and heavy machinery including mini excavators, skid steers, winch dozers, clean up dozers and backhoes.
Effectively completes excavation related tasks by using appropriate equipment.
Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
Inspects, fuels and performs routine vehicle maintenance prior to beginning shift.
Consults digging plans, machine specifications, and safety procedures for specific tasks.
Ensures work is completed to specification by observing grade stakes, material levels, hand signals, and other markers.
Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of machinery operation and capabilities.
Ability to read site plans related to land grades.
Ability to complete safety awareness training.

Education and Experience:

Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
CDL class A license required (Tankers Endorsement Preferred).
