Job summary

Generous Brands is seeking a Beverage Equipment Operator in Bakersfield to support daily production in its beverage plant. The role involves coordinating with supervisors and inventory managers, loading/unloading trailers, and assisting with plant operations and equipment handling.

The ideal candidate will monitor equipment, manage materials, perform routine maintenance, and assist with safety and quality programs. The position requires a 2nd shift and a commitment to efficient, safe production.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
  • Pro‑active mindset with good judgment in minimal supervision.
  • Team player with ability to follow instructions.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automated machines and tools.
  • Ability to repair minor mechanical issues on machines and systems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and log equipment values, temperatures, pressures.
  • Track materials for production requirements.
  • Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing.
  • Perform changeovers, CIP, PMs, cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Maintain equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Train new personnel on procedures.
  • Support food safety, legality, and quality programs.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The APEX Beverage Equipment Operator will assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily production needs with the supervisors and inventory managers in loading/unloading trailers and production work. The Equipment Operator must be willing and able to assist in operating the Beverage Plant equipment.

  • Monitor and log equipment values and parameters to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters.
  • Track correct materials for all production requirements
  • Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing.
  • Complete changeovers, CIP’s, PMs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required.
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Maintain activity logs
  • Trains new personnel on proper operational procedures
  • Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs
  • Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.)
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Pro‑active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions
  • Mechanical knowledge of automated machines and tools
  • Ability to repair minor mechanical issues on machines and systems
  • Experience conducting quality tests and analyzing data
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• One to two years’ experience as an Equipment Operator in a similar production environment preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time
  • Must be able to work in freezer and cold, wet or humid conditions
HOURS & WORKDAYS
  • 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory.
