Campbell County is seeking an entry-level equipment operator to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in operation and maintenance of heavy machinery, hauling, loading, mowing, and related duties to keep roadways and bike paths safe.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, specialized training in hauling and heavy equipment, up to one year of experience, and a Class A license with endorsements. Pre-employment drug screenings apply.

Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation and maintenance of equipment, light, medium and heavy machinery, and tools used in construction, maintenance, and repair activity. Performs loading, hauling, scraping and related operations. Performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Operates all equipment owned or rented by the county in order to maintain safe roadways and bike paths throughout Campbell County. Safely operates end dump. Mows grass and removes weeds. Works at the entry level in the class series.
