Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Equipment and Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate loaders, backhoes, trucks and other heavy equipment at our Utah locations.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior equipment experience, ability to read and write, and a strong commitment to safety. The position includes maintaining records and assisting with safe operation practices on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and write simple memos and notes.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain time and material records.
• Identify utilities and other buried lines prior to digging; ensure safe slopes and barricading.
• Refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Travel between job sites as needed.

Position Overview

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment including but not limited to Loaders, Back Hoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, Etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Work Requirements

• Previous heavy equipment operation experience or training is highly preferred.
