Equipment Operator (Construction)

Job Description

This role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of plant equipment. The incumbent must operate safely and efficiently, following all PPE and process requirements. This position is classified as safety sensitive.

Activities/Tasks/Scope

1. Follow all company policies and MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
2. Ensure a safe work environment for oneself and co-workers.
3. Perform greasing, oil changes, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
4. Report major maintenance issues to the Superintendent.
5. Repair and replace conveyor belts as needed.
6. Change plant screens when necessary.
7. Maintain the plant site using skid steer, shovel, and wash down with a hose.
8. Operate small power tools.
9. Operate water trucks for dust control on roads.
10. Operate front-end loader to feed the plant and load trucks as required.
11. Ensure daily maintenance of the plant is completed.
12. Maintain regular attendance.
13. Work 10+ hour days and weekends are common.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

• High School diploma, Degree, or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
