ABOUT THE ROLE
Operate a Loader, Haul Truck, Excavator and other types of large equipment used for moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and other materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Operates blade, dozer's, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, and stone.
Loads material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant
Moves earth or other materials from one location to another
Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment; Maintains appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels and performs minor repairs as needed
Keeps equipment clean and orderly
Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times
Completes paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required
Performs the day-to-day activities of a plant (Quarry), duties could include tasks associated with maintaining the stationary equipment of various plants
Maintains and reviews maintenance logs for repairs
Communicates with drivers and crew which includes supervisor, loader operators and laborers
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of experience with Blade, Dozer's, Haul Truck, Excavators, Loaders and other types of large equipment used for sand & gravel, and stone.
Valid Driver’s License.
