Job summary

Matting Solutions, now part of United Rentals, seeks an Installation Technician I to manage daily heavy equipment operations safely and efficiently on large construction sites.

Work includes exposure to various weather conditions, strict safety compliance, and thorough documentation of inspections and logs. Requires 0–1 year of equipment experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Travel and overtime are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, ability to read and write fluently (English).
• Valid driver's license.
• 0-1 year of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment on large construction projects.
• Ability to operate equipment independently, self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safety hazards of construction projects and inspection principles and techniques.
• Skill in reading and interpreting Access and Construction Plans.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Travel out of town during the week or weekends, extensive overtime.

• Participate in routine maintenance (such as greasing, etc.) and ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
• Effectively communicate to all site personnel and practice workplace safety

• Clear understanding of ground signals, and maintain constant eye contact with ground personnel
• Other duties as assigned

As the Installation Technician I - Matting Solutions, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will be required to work in all weather and be prepared for both extreme heat and cold environments.
