Job summary

Amrize seeks an Equipment Operator to join our North America team and perform heavy equipment operations on construction projects, including paving and earthmoving. You will conduct routine inspections to maintain safety and efficiency on-site.

Requirements include a High School diploma and at least one year of related experience, with strong reading/writing skills and excellent driving ability. Join a growing company with ample safety training and career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other heavy equipment for loading, grading and moving materials.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintain equipment in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Load material into bins/Crusher/ trucks or plant and move earth or materials as needed.
  • Complete paperwork and assist with other duties; participate in safety programs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Runs dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Operate various heavy equipment in order to loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintain proper quantities of material to be loaded.
  • Maintain equipment: Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
  • Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Load material into bins, into crusher, into trucks or into plant.
  • Moves earth or other materials from one location to another.
  • Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment.
  • May maintain appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Completes are paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience: Minimun of one year of related work experience or equivalent combination of eduaction and experience. Ability to read and write. Excellent driving skills.

Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
