Job summary

Staffmark Group in Joliet, IL is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, move materials, and support production and inventory processes.

This full-time role requires forklift certification, adherence to GMPs and safety policies, and strong teamwork with production, warehouse, and leadership teams.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd and 3rd with competitive pay and benefits; steel-toe shoes required.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required upon hiring.
• Experience operating stand-up forklifts and reach trucks is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand‑up forklifts and reach trucks to move materials.
• Retrieve and place materials on racks for production or inventory.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies safely.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks or pallets as needed.
• Conduct equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Perform inventory management and material movement tracking.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and staging zones.
• Follow GMPs and safety policies in all tasks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Location: Joliet, IL

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Shift Options: 1st Shift, 6:45 AM-3 PM, Mon-Fri | 2nd Shift, 2:45 PM-11 PM, Mon-Fri | 3rd Shift, 10:45 PM-7 AM, Sun-Thursday

Job Duties

• Operate stand‑up forklifts and reach trucks to move materials to and from production areas.
• Retrieve and place materials on racks as needed for production or inventory purposes.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies safely and efficiently.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks or pallets when required.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure forklifts are in safe working condition.
• Perform inventory management tasks, including scanning and tracking material movement.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the staging and storage zones.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Warehouse or Production Supervisor.

Physical Capabilities

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to operate forklifts for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Must be able to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
