Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to move material safely at our surface operations. You will travel between Gilliam, Glasgow, and Miami Quarries, operating heavy machinery to keep the plant running and output on schedule.

The role requires about 1+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid US driver’s license. You will join a team focused on safety, quality, and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Valid US driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Hours: 6:30am to 5:30pm Monday – Friday

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator and travel between our surface operations Gilliam, Glasgow, and Miami Quarries. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Physical Abilities

• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
