Job summary

ABM US is seeking a forklift operator to load, unload, and move materials within our Ghent, KY facility. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment to relocate shipments to storage bays and loading docks in accordance with inventory procedures.

Responsibilities include ensuring loads are secure, maintaining orderly storage areas, performing routine equipment checks, and adhering to safety standards to support efficient warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Familiarity with inventory procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to follow loading/unloading instructions precisely.

Job description

Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.
Transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft.
Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility stacking goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
Checking loads are secure stacking empty pallets, performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery
