Job summary

Taylor Corporation is hiring an Equipment Operator at its Fridley, MN facility to run digital bindery equipment. The role involves operating printing press equipment, maintaining the machines, and ensuring color accuracy and quality across jobs.

The position requires the ability to set tolerances, strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and good reading ability. Shift: 6:00am–2:00pm, Monday–Friday. Authorized US work status required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment per job specs and quality standards.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure optimum output.
• Prepare inks for correct color and consistency.
• Check paper type, size, color and quantity.
• Check plates for correct format.
• Visually inspect forms during runs for quality.
• Coordinate with Production to meet deadlines and adjust as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of safety requirements for job and equipment.
• Operate additional machinery and related packaging steps as needed.

Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator to run our digital bindery equipment in our Fridley, MN facility!
Work Authorization

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate printing press equipment, in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.
• Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output.
• Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
• Check paper for type, size, color and quantity.
• Check plates for correct format
• Visually inspect forms throughout run for quality
• Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
• Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment.
• Palletizer, Surface Mount II, Printer 1-2 color, Machine II, Packaging II, Folding, Cutter-Programs, Photocopy multicolor (Ink or Toner)

Your Shift

• 6:00am - 2:00pm, Monday - Friday
  

You Must Have

• Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances
• High degree of mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• High degree of mechanical ability
• Good reading ability.
  

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $23- $24. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
