Job summary

American-Gypsum in Oklahoma is seeking an Equipment Operator to stack mined rock for loading onto haul trucks. You will work 10-hour shifts, with overtime required, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm and possible Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities include operating Dozers, Haul trucks, Front End Loaders, Excavators, Motor Grader, Wirtgen Mills and Water Trucks safely, performing pre-shift inspections, routine housekeeping, and reporting issues to the Quarry Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate all types of mobile equipment (Dozers, Haul trucks, Front End loaders, Excavators, Motor Grader, Wirtgen Mills, Water Trucks) safely.
• Able to work independently and spend the majority of time seated.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Stack mined rock for contractor to load on haul trucks.
• Perform tasks assigned by Quarry Superintendent safely and efficiently.
• Assist other operators when needed.
• Perform visual quality inspections and daily housekeeping.
• Report issues promptly to the Quarry Superintendent.
• May perform other tasks such as pumping rainwater, building roadways, berms, and assisting others.
• Maintain safety awareness and wear PPE.

Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts; Overtime is required. Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Subject to possible Saturday Shifts.

Starting Pay: $22.52 to $23.02 hourly

Full or Part Time: Full-time only

Reports to: Quarry Superintendent

Job Summary:

• The primary responsibility of the Equipment Operator is to stack mined rock in piles for contractor to load on haul trucks.
  • safely and efficiently fulfilling the assigned tasks given by the Quarry Superintendent.
  • assisting fellow operators when needed.
  • performing visual quality inspections.
  • Performing general housekeeping of your assigned area daily.
  • reporting any and all issues to the Quarry Superintendent promptly.
• Position may also perform other tasks as required such as pumping rainwater from low lying areas, constructing roadways, building berms and assisting other employees as needed.
• Safety and awareness should always be part of the daily operation to ensure a safe workplace for all mine employees.

Position Requirements:

• Able to work in a remote or centralized area.
• MUST be able to operate all types of mobile equipment such as Dozers, Haul trucks, Front End loaders, Excavators, Motor Grader, Wirtgen Mills and Water Trucks in a safe manner.
• Able to handle light to medium physical demands.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to spend majority of time seated.
• Able to perform basic math and understand slopes and grade angles.
• Able to read information and accurately fill in forms.
• Perform pre-shift inspection on all mobile equipment.
• Ability to learn and practice good housekeeping principles.
• Must know how to use a tape measure.
• Ability to work in a safe manner in all conditions and circumstances.

Safety:

• Operate equipment in a safe manner following all departmental safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in daily crew safety meetings.
• Understanding of how and where to properly lock-out all job-related equipment.
• Understanding of safe operation for all equipment.
• Understanding of mobile equipment pre-shift safety inspection.
• Wear appropriate PPE for the job conditions.
• Maintain housekeeping in all designated areas.
• Understanding of JSA’s for the area.

Work Experience and Education Requirements:
