Job summary

Daiso USA is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment within our DeSoto warehouse. You will move, stack, load, and retrieve goods, supporting receiving, storage, and shipping while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include operating stand-up/sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, loading/unloading, and placing pallets in high-bay racking. Maintain clean, organized docks and adhere to SOPs and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0–1 year of relevant warehouse experience.
• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment at various heights.
• Strong safety focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with WMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support inbound and outbound operations by staging and labeling shipments.
• Work with shipping and receiving teams to ensure smooth dock operations.
• Maintain clean and orderly dock, racking, and staging areas in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment usage and warehouse processes.

Job Summary:

Basic math and understanding of warehouse workflows.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.

Available shifts:

1st Shift: Morning start to afternoon finish

2nd Shift: Afternoon start to evening finish

3rd Shift: Evening start to morning finish

Work conditions may include high noise levels, mechanical equipment, dust/dirt, and moving machinery.

Role requires consistent physical activity and attention to safety in a team-based warehouse environment.

Job Scope:

No supervisory responsibilities.

Decisions affect own work area and support operational outcomes.

Routine tasks with standard procedures; work is monitored by supervisor.

Limited internal contact; role impacts operational efficiency and safety.
