Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to load materials onto lines and trailers safely using front end loaders and to operate equipment per the O&M manual. Daily inspections and strict adherence to safety rules are required.

The role requires a high school education or equivalent and at least six months of machinery experience, with a teamwork-oriented, safety-conscious approach. Night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required; additional experience may substitute education.
• Minimum six months of experience operating machinery.
• Must demonstrate ability to follow directions with safety focus.
• Strong professional attitude, conduct and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in accordance with O&M manual.
• Check material (incoming and outgoing) for quality and conformity.
• Transport material to designated storage areas safely.
• Load material onto lines and trailers safely.
• Keep material stacks neat and perform general housekeeping.
• Check oil and fluids daily and perform equipment inspections.
• Comply with all company safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Loads material onto lines and trailers safely via front end loaders. Operates equipment in accordance with O&M manual. Performs inspections on equipment daily. Must obey all company safety regulations, and performs other job-related duties as assigned

Hiring Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent (additional experience may be substituted for education)
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating machinery
• Must have a demonstrated ability to follow directions
• Professional Attitude & conduct
• Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
