Job summary

CMC is seeking candidates for on-site roles in our steel, construction reinforcement, and ground stabilization operations in Chattanooga. You will operate production equipment, maintain a clean work area, and participate in safety programs while complying with established procedures.

The role requires physical endurance, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfort working in all weather conditions. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• Experience with metal sorting is a plus but not required; ability to distinguish metals and materials for grading.
• Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs or more and carry/push objects up to 100 ft.
• Physical tasks include climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Operates production equipment according to established procedures.
• Participates in CMC Safety Programs and upholds the CMC Safety Culture.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

What You’ll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs


• Ability to work in all weather conditions


• Experience with metal sorting a plus but not required; to include the ability to distinguish between different metals and/or other materials for grading purposes and recognizing safety hazards


• Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs or more to include carrying or pushing objects up to 100ft


• Must be able to perform the physical task of the job assigned; to include climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching


• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
