Job summary

Canyon Construction Company is seeking an Equipment Operator to support our construction operations. The role involves safe operation of light to heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, blades, dozers and loaders.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of equipment operation and daily maintenance experience in a production-driven environment. The position requires strong teamwork, dependability, and a serious work ethic, with opportunities to contribute to meaningful infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of construction equipment including excavators, backhoes, dozers, blades, and loaders.
• Perform precise excavation and grading while avoiding underground utilities.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance for safe operation.
• Follow safety procedures and site regulations.
• Coordinate with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Maintain situational awareness for safe operation on active sites.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Equipment Operator to support our construction operations. Duties include the safe and effective operation of light to heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, blades, dozers & loaders. At least 5 years’ experience in the operation and daily maintenance of such equipment is preferred. Must possess a serious attitude toward work, be dependable and work well with others in a production-oriented team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of construction equipment, including excavators, backhoes, dozers, blades, and loaders
• Perform precise excavation and grading work, including work around existing underground utilities
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation
• Follow all safety procedures and job site regulations
• Coordinate with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operation in active job sites
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Driver’s License preferred; Must be valid state issued
• Must comply with all site safety requirements
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
