Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking an Equipment Operator at our MRF location to operate a range of heavy equipment and support daily waste processing operations. You will unload waste from incoming trucks, move material with an end loader, and transfer solidified waste using an excavator, while performing routine equipment inspections.

Qualifications include a high-school diploma and 1+ year of related equipment experience.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Equipment Operator

As an Equipment Operator you will be responsible for operating various equipment to effectively support operations at our MRF location.

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Unloads waste from incoming trucks and operates an end loader to move waste to blending box
• Operates an excavator to transfer solidified waste from blending box to belt floor trailer and roll off boxes
• Performs general inspections and ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Provides guidance to less experience equipment operators as needed
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
