Suffolk Construction is seeking a mobile Fleet Mechanic to inspect, test, repair and maintain motorized equipment used on large construction projects. The role involves working in a warehouse/shop setting and visiting sites as needed.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of fleet maintenance/repair experience, a valid driver license, and the ability to travel including overnights. CDL is preferred and applicants should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The mechanic provides construction fleet motorized equipment and component evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair in support of the completion of large-scale building construction projects.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employees will spend their time in a warehouse/shop environment or traveling to different sites to do job site walking.
