Savard Group is seeking an Equipment Mechanic in Mobile, AL. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, cranes, and related hydraulic/electrical systems. Candidates must bring their own tools and be prepared for a physically demanding shop environment.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with temp-to-perm opportunity. Prior experience with heavy equipment and strong troubleshooting skills are preferred, along with reliable transportation

Formación

• Previous mechanical, equipment maintenance or repair experience preferred.
• Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair experience is a plus.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, or similar machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to learn new equipment and repair procedures.
• Must be able to complete required pre-employment screening.

Responsabilidades

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair aerial work platforms, including boom lifts and scissor lifts.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on telescopic forklifts and telehandlers.
• Assist with light crane maintenance and repair work.
• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair portable air compressors.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment issues.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn equipment components.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings, pumps, and cylinders.
• Safely operate equipment to test functionality and verify completed repairs.
• Utilize personal hand tools and mechanical equipment to complete repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
• Follow all company safety procedures and equipment maintenance guidelines.
• Work independently and alongside experienced technicians to complete assigned repairs.

Key Requirements

• Previous mechanical, equipment maintenance, or repair experience preferred.
• Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair experience is a plus.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, or similar machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Must have your own tools.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems preferred.
• Must be willing to learn new equipment and repair procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be comfortable working on dirty, heavy equipment in a warehouse/shop environment with varying hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance and repair tasks.
• Must be able to complete required pre-employment screening.
