Job summary

Northern Clearing, Inc. is seeking a full-time Equipment Mechanic to work in our Ashland, WI shop. The role involves performing scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues for various equipment.

Job description

Northern Clearing is looking to hire a full-time Equipment Mechanic to work in our Ashland, WI Shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues using proper diagnostic tools.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, replace and update worn and broken parts as needed, including servicing components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain service records and work orders of equipment, ensuring all completed work is documented within our work order system. Proficiency with computers and tablets for work order software is preferred.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have general mechanical knowledge of Skid Steers, Track Loaders, and Mini Excavators. Knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

2+ years of experience as a mechanic preferred.

The candidate should be a hard worker, have a can‑do attitude, be personable, punctual, and safety minded.
