Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking an Equipment Master Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient daily operation of the production line and ensure low waste, high yield, and top product quality for customers.

Under the direction of the Equipment Manager, you will mentor staff, troubleshoot complex equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and drive cost reductions while maintaining safety and quality standards across plant automation and solar module equipment.

Qualifications

• Technical College or Associate's Degree in Management.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Senior Product Technician certification.
• Experience in high tech or solar manufacturing industry and start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workflow of production lines and processes is met in a timely manner.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Maintain high housekeeping, safety and quality standards.
• Organize and direct work and team assignments.
• Read and analyze production specs to determine requirements.
• Ensure finished products meet quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions.
• Run diagnostic tests and repair equipment across plant automation.
• Commission control systems and calibrate instrumentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and manage CMMS data.
• Create solid models and drawings per CAD guidelines.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motor control problems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and design improvements.
• Identify critical components and reliability features.
• Drive operational improvements and cost reductions.
• Complete work orders and collaborate with the team to repair equipment.
• Support development and ongoing improvement of solar module equipment.

EQUIPMENT MASTER SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that the overall workflow of the lines and process are met in a timely manner.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Ensure that a high quality of housekeeping, safety and quality standards are maintained and improved in the area.
• Under the guidance of the Equipment Manager, responsible for organizing and directing work and team assignments.
• Reads and analyzes production specs to determine production requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring that all finished products are within quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot production problems as they arise and put corrective action in place to assure the issue is resolved completely.
• Run diagnostic tests and repair malfunctioning equipment in all areas of plant automation.
• Commission control systems, troubleshoot operational issues, perform equipment and process instrumentation calibration including flow and pressure transmitters, and level sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance; ensure stock of critical spares, properly input data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), execute work orders, back up programs and keep prints and manuals current.
• Utilize established SolidWorks CAD guidelines and department design procedures to create solid models and detail drawings.
• Troubleshoot all programmable logic control (PLC), HMI, motor and motor control problems.
• Perform root cause failure analysis for failed parts and use materials/fabrication knowledge to design improvements
• Identify critical machine components and analyze critical design features to ensure reliability in final operating environment.
• Drive operational improvement and cost reduction by enhancing industrial control schemes.
• Complete assigned work orders write work requests and collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and repair processing and solar module equipment.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the solar module equipment
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc.
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Preferred Qualification
