Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in the United States is seeking an Equipment Manager to order and maintain the field fleet used by crews on projects. You will partner with the Field team and other departments to keep equipment available and in good working order.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years in equipment operation or maintenance; 4+ years preferred. You will handle DOT tests, tag/title, and coordinate repairs and equipment purchases to support safe, efficient field work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of equipment operator or maintenance experience.
  • Preferred: 4+ years of equipment operator or maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain the fleet of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure DOT requirements for dielectric testing and IFTA stickers are met.
  • Complete tag and title work.
  • Take calls about field equipment issues and dispatch mechanics as needed.

Job Summary

The Equipment Manager is responsible for ordering and maintaining equipment in the field used by the crew to complete a job. This position supports the Field team and works with personnel in various departments.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain the fleet of vehicles and equipment.
  • Keep up with DOT requirements regarding dielectric testing and IFTA stickers, changing equipment out as needed.
  • Complete tag and title work.
  • Take calls related to equipment problems in the field and prioritize jobs to dispatch mechanics to the jobsite to fix them.
  • Collect quotes, gain approvals, and order equipment when needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of equipment operator or maintenance experience.
Preferred
  • 4 or more years of equipment operator or maintenance experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of fleet maintenance and repair.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
