This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who can work independently, troubleshoot moderately complex equipment issues, and apply established maintenance processes with minimal guidance.

You’ll use your mechanical and technical expertise every day while expanding your knowledge across a variety of manufacturing equipment and technologies. You'll work closely with production, engineering, and other support teams to diagnose problems, restore equipment performance, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.

If you're a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical aptitude who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems independently using established maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Identify equipment issues that are mechanical in nature and distinguish them from process-related problems.
  • Troubleshoot and recognize pneumatic problems, escalating issues when additional expertise or support is required.
  • Use appropriate hand tools, powered industrial equipment, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform equipment repairs, adjustments, modifications, and preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
  • Follow established procedures for lockout/tagout (LO/TO), fall protection, confined space, hot work permits, PPE, compressed gases, Arc Flash, and other applicable safety requirements.
  • Apply basic shop mathematics and technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately and thoroughly, including documenting root cause and corrective actions when applicable.
  • Work collaboratively with machine operators, production supervisors, engineering, quality, and other support teams to resolve equipment reliability issues.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities that improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Use the Lean toolbox and other problem-solving methods to identify and eliminate sources of equipment downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all Swagelok safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced maintenance associates when appropriate.
What Makes You Successful

  • Ability to understand and follow technical procedures, safety requirements, and standard work.
  • Ability to use basic shop mathematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
