Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support ion mill, ion implant and metal evaporation equipment in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment in Richardson, TX.

The role spans entry to senior levels, with emphasis on preventive and corrective maintenance and strong teamwork. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or military electronics training, solid mechanical/electronic skills, and the ability to read electrical schematics and

Responsabilidades

• Improve system performance to meet process requirements and reduce repetitive tool breakdowns.
• Monitor and analyze tool data; communicate status and recommendations clearly to engineers.

Description

Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and work well in a team environment. We are hiring an entry to senior-level technician to support ion mill, ion implant, and metal evaporation equipment.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment
• Able to improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool breakdowns
• Monitor and analyze all related tool data, make recommendations and improvements to maintenance procedures
• Work with engineers to design and execute equipment improvements projects
• Able to clearly communicate machine status verbally in daily pass-down meetings
• Able to provide a clear written communication to engineers and technicians on other shifts

Required Experience and Skills

• Two years associate technical degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering or military electronics training equivalent
• Strong mechanical and electronic skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to interpret electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, project management skills, and knowledge of SPC in a manufacturing environment
• Candidates must be able to stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs as well as be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials
• Additional requirements include Basic computer skills, MS Office, strong interpersonal and communications skills, ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, strong work ethic with verifiable references.
• Must be willing to work nights or days on a compressed workweek schedule

Desired Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Prior experience on the following toolsets are preferred: Veeco Ion Mill, Axcelis 8250 Implant, Heatpulse 8800, Temescal Evaporators, Evatec Evaporators, and Scia Ion Trim and MIll equipment.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$23.65 -$42.88 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
