The Equipment Designer is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation for custom HVAC equipment, modular systems, and mission-critical infrastructure solutions. Working closely with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and other cross-functional teams, this role transforms engineering concepts, customer requirements, and product specifications into accurate, manufacturable designs that support successful project execution.
The Mechanical Designer develops and manages Bills of Materials (BOMs), component layouts, assembly drawings, and production documentation while ensuring compliance with company standards, engineering requirements, applicable codes, and manufacturing best practices.
In this role, you will support the full design lifecycle by implementing design revisions, resolving technical drawing discrepancies, and maintaining configuration control within engineering systems such as Autodesk Inventor and Vault. You will collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to improve manufacturability, address production challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, performance, and cost effectiveness. Through active participation in design reviews and engineering projects, you will contribute to the development of innovative cooling and modular infrastructure solutions that support some of the world's largest data center and technology customers.
