Job summary

United Rentals in Wall, SD is seeking an equipment service associate to inspect returned gear, ensure safety compliance, and prepare items for rental. You will clean equipment, load and unload units, and demonstrate usage to customers, including driving a delivery truck for pickups and drop-offs.

A strong focus on safety, teamwork and customer service is required. The role offers an hourly wage with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career development in a leading equipment rental

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and teamwork are essential.
• Diligent attention to safety and customer service are important.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and compliance; ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment; prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment; drive a delivery truck for pickup/drop-off.
• Other duties as needed

What you'll do:

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
• Diligent attention to safety
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
