Job summary

United Rentals in Sacramento is seeking an Equipment Associate to perform a variety of manual tasks and provide labor support to service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel. The role emphasizes safety, reliability and customer service while contributing to smooth branch operations.

Excellence in this position can lead to advancement into our Driver and Service Technician development programs, with opportunities to grow within the world’s largest equipment rental provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills are essential.
• Diligent attention to safety in all tasks.
• Superior customer service skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and ensure it is in good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive a delivery truck for pickup/drop-off.

What You'll Do

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch

• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area


• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental


• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment


• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements
