Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Associate at our Texas branch to support service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel in meeting customer needs.

You will perform a variety of manual tasks, check equipment for damage and readiness, load and unload gear, and assist with deliveries. This role offers advancement into Driver and Service Technician development programs and a safe, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Excellent communication, multitasking and teamwork skills.
• Strong safety awareness and diligent care with equipment.
• Superior customer service skills required.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Position is Safety Sensitive under company policy.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, compliance, and ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive delivery truck for pickup/drop-off.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
