Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations and ensure equipment is ready for rental. You will assist service technicians, sales staff and customers by performing manual tasks, cleaning gear, checking for damage, and preparing equipment for rental.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and strong customer service as you load and unload gear, drive the delivery truck when needed, and help ensure a smooth rental experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, multitasking and teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety in daily tasks.
• Customer service oriented with a safety focus.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel at return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, compliance and good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload equipment and prepare for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment; drive a delivery truck when needed.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

What you’ll do

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment
• Other duties assigned as needed

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
