Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's Equine Mortality Division in Ocala, FL is seeking an Associate Underwriting Supervisor or Underwriting Supervisor to lead the Equine Underwriting team. You will review applications, assess risk, and monitor portfolio performance, ensuring policy accuracy and regulatory compliance.

This on-site role requires a degree and at least 6 years underwriting experience; on-site four days with one remote day, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business/finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years underwriting or related field.
• Professional designation preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the daily activities of the Equine Underwriting team.
• Reviews processing of new underwriting applications per policies.
• Reviews risk assessments, policy statuses, and portfolio performance.
• Oversees the preparation and maintenance of underwriting files and approvals.
• Facilitates communication with agents and customers to obtain needed information.
• Generates management reports to monitor performance and metrics.
• Oversees data entry to ensure integrity.
• Leads opportunities to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency.
