Job summary

Humphrey & Giacopuzzi Veterinary Group, Inc. (HGAE) is seeking a board-certified equine surgeon or eligible veterinarian to join our established Southern California equine hospital.

The surgeon will perform elective and emergency procedures, manage hospitalized surgical patients, and collaborate with internal medicine and ambulatory teams. We offer a fully equpped equine hospital, advanced diagnostics, an on-call rotation, and a supportive leadership team with professional autonomy.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required.
• ACVS board certification in large animal surgery or equivalent.
• California veterinary license or ability to obtain one promptly.
• Experience performing elective and emergency equine surgery.
• Excellent client and referring-veterinarian communication.
• Professional, reliable, and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency equine procedures.
• Manage hospitalized surgical patients.
• Collaborate with internal medicine and ambulatory teams.
• Help expand the surgical service.
