Job summary

Fairfield Equine Associates in Newtown, Connecticut, seeks an experienced veterinary imaging technician to join our Imaging Department Team. The ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary technician with imaging experience including radiology and MRI.

We offer full-time employment with benefits after a 90-day intro, competitive hourly pay of $24.00–$26.00 DOE, and opportunities to work with a range of diagnostic imaging modalities, 24-hour emergencies, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Licensed CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT preferred.
• Previous equine veterinary technician experience.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging positioning and equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work beyond scheduled hours.
• Strong teamwork and computers/electronics aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures including venipuncture, injections, and imaging.
• Capture digital images and operate imaging equipment.
• Manage billing for diagnostic services.
• Maintain clean, safe imaging facilities and handle waste.
• Support team and participate in problem solving.
