Job summary

Christian Children's Home of Ohio seeks an Equine Therapist to provide mental health services through interaction with horses. The ideal candidate will have an Ohio license in Social Work or Counseling and over 5 years of experience with horses. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with and riding horses.
• Must be physically able to ride and handle horses weighing up to 2000 pounds.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 75 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provide equine‑assisted and non‑equine‑assisted mental health services.
• Facilitate mental health assessments and accurate diagnoses.
• Complete treatment plans in collaboration with client.

Skills

Experience with horses

Ohio license in Social Work (LSW) or Counseling (LPC)

General understanding of barn management

Natural Lifemanship certification

Education

Bachelor's or Master's in Social Work

Master's in Counseling
