Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a 360EQP Project Manager to join a diverse team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

Responsibilities

  • Execute complete equipment qualification processes for AWS Data Center infrastructure ensuring thorough review of submittals, execution of structured test protocols, evaluation of prototype, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders to maintain quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and maintain systematic tracking of equipment qualification metrics and ensuring data accuracy and timely status updates
  • Lead cross‑functional coordination between architectural, electrical, control and mechanical disciplines, equipment vendors, tier‑2 suppliers, commissioning team and other stakeholder teams to optimize qualification timelines
  • Execute documentation strategies for equipment qualification, including verification of vendor quality audits and test reports, monitor submittal review, reporting of detailed status and product qualification tracking mechanisms
  • Collaborate with data analytics teams to develop and maintain reporting dashboards, metrics tracking, and predictive modeling tools
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Travel for internal design meetings, and factory witness testing. Anticipated travel not to exceed 10%. International travel may be needed

In this role, you will serve as a 360EQP Project Manager, you’ll join a diverse team of Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Primary responsibilities will be, developing and managing scalable data center qualification programs that seamlessly integrate diverse teams and equipment globally. Oversee comprehensive testing of power and cooling systems while maintaining strong collaboration between all stockholder teams including material suppliers and commissioning team.

About the team

The Global Design Standards and Change Management (GDSCM) organization within Data Center Engineering is responsible for establishing and maintaining design standards across the global data center portfolio. Our team manages three mission‑critical programmes:

  • Basis of Design (BOD) Establishes and governs the foundational technical standards for all global data center designs, ensuring consistency and quality across the portfolio.
  • Programmatic Design Change Management (PDCM) Manages design change requests across 300+ in‑flight projects.
  • 360 Equipment Qualification Program (360 EQP) Qualifies equipment and technologies for deployment across the global portfolio, evaluating emerging solutions and driving standardization of critical systems.

Together, these programmes deliver capacity across the AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
