Job summary

Glint Tech Solutions is seeking an Epitaxy Engineer in the South Plainfield, NJ area to perform and optimize MOCVD epitaxial growth of III-V materials. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve material quality and yield while supporting reactor maintenance and troubleshooting.

The role requires hands-on MOCVD experience, a strong background in epitaxial materials, and collaboration across process, device, and R&D groups.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on MOCVD epitaxial growth experience with III-V materials.
• Experience operating/troubleshooting MOCVD reactors.
• Familiarity with epitaxial characterization techniques.

Project Description

The client develops III-V semiconductor laser and detector materials, with a focus on MOCVD epitaxial growth for advanced photonic devices including EML and DFB lasers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MOCVD epitaxial growth of III-V semiconductor materials
• Optimize growth recipes and process parameters
• Support material characterization and troubleshoot MOCVD process/equipment issues
• Improve material quality, consistency, and yield

Mandatory Skills

• 2+ years hands-on MOCVD epitaxial growth experience with III-V materials
• Master's in Materials Science, EE, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related (Bachelor's + strong experience also considered)
• Experience operating/troubleshooting MOCVD reactors
• Familiarity with epitaxial characterization techniques

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with semiconductor lasers, photonics, or optoelectronic devices
• Experience with InP, EML, DFB, or related laser structures
