Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in Florida seeks an Epileptologist to join its Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. You will join a large team caring for patients across seven Broward and Palm Beach counties, reporting to the Chief of Neurology and the Epilepsy Program Director.

The ideal candidate will be ABPN board certified/eligible, with epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology fellowship, MD/DO, and an unrestricted license.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology by ABPN with fellowship in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology.
• MD/DO from an accredited institution with active/unrestricted medical license or eligibility by start date.
• Experience diagnosing and treating epilepsy and seizure disorders, including EEGs and related tests.
• Leadership in diagnostic, mapping and perioperative management of epilepsy surgical candidates.

• Collaborate with neurosurgery and clinical colleagues on epilepsy treatment planning.

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ an Epileptologist to join its well-established program at its Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. The incoming provider, who will report to the Chief of Neurology and Director of the Epilepsy Program, will join a large and well-supported team of 29 interdisciplinary physicians and 20 advanced practice providers caring for patients in seven locations across Broward and Palm Beach counties.

• The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with additional fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
• Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
• Candidates will have in-depth knowledge of neurophysiology, clinical physiology, and epilepsy research, including experience in diagnosing and treating patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders, conducting and interpreting EEGs and other diagnostic tests
• Ideal candidates should also be well-versed in leading diagnostic, selection, mapping, and perioperative management of surgical candidates for various epilepsy treatment techniques, performed in coordination with the neurosurgeons and clinical colleagues at the Miami Neuroscience Institute, also part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care
• The Marcus Neuroscience Institute, located at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in a 57,000-square-foot facility, includes a 20-bed neuroscience intensive care unit and four dedicated operating rooms, including intraoperative MRI and CT technology, as well as a biplane angiography suite
• Four-room inpatient epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) in Boca Raton Regional Hospital is the only EMU from West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale
• DNV Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 3 Epilepsy Center
• Academically affiliated with Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU), BHSF has been teaching residents at FAU since 2018, and most recently launched a 16-resident neurology program at FIU in 2025.
