Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologists to join and expand its Epilepsy Division, collaborating with a team of four other neurologists. The department offers an academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and rich opportunities in EEG interpretation, teaching, and epilepsy care.

Clinical work includes ED/ward consults, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit care for adults and children, and participation in Epilepsy Surgery, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification in Neurology.
• Completion of a certified Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship.
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a collaborative environment with neurology colleagues.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, APPs and fellows.
• Perform and interpret EEG/cEEG/aEEG studies.
• Monitor patients in a 12-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (adult & pediatric).
• Participate in Epilepsy Surgery Program.
• Explore bench or clinical research opportunities.
• Hold an academic appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level.
