Join the Epic Hosting facilities team and stretch yourself technically as you work to maintain and improve our data center in Rochester, MN. As part of having a truly Epic job, you will enjoy guaranteed year‑round, full‑time hours.

Key Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day, you will be responsible for the overall operation and upkeep of a critical data center facility, with a primary focus on mechanical systems including HVAC equipment such as chillers and cooling towers. This includes monitoring system performance, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing repairs to ensure reliable, continuous operation.

Beyond core mechanical systems, you will take ownership of the building as a whole, handling general facility needs as they arise — from plumbing, fire protection, and fuel systems to basic building maintenance tasks.

This role requires a hands‑on, self‑directed approach. You will be expected to identify issues, prioritize work, and take action with minimal oversight while maintaining high standards for the facility. The ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical plans is essential, along with judgment to know when to work independently and when to engage remote subject matter experts.

Benefits

We offer comprehensive benefits to keep you healthy and happy as you grow in your life and career, and your merit‑based compensation will reflect the impact your work has on the company and our customers. You’ll also be eligible for annual raises and bonuses, as well as stock grants, which give you an even greater stake in the success of Epic and our customers. And, after five years here, you’ll earn a four‑week sabbatical anywhere in the world. Staff have kayaked in Patagonia, attended a Beyoncé concert in Ireland, built a library in Tanzania, and run a marathon in Antarctica.

Location
