RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Data Engineer II to join the ITS Research and Data Science team in New Jersey. The role focuses on Epic Cosmos data science development, building data assets, and ensuring audit-ready documentation for research use.

The ideal candidate will have mid-level experience with SQL, ETL tools, APIs, NoSQL and RDBMS, and a Bachelor’s degree. This salaried, day-shift position offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Mid-level experience in data engineering or ETL development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data integration tools.
• Experience with API/REST/JSON, NoSQL, and RDBMS data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise as it relates to Epic Cosmos.
• Be an honest broker as it relates to Epic Cosmos Data Science.
• Create data assets within Cosmos Data Science for approved research; and
• Provide auditable documentation for work that they produce as it relates to Epic Cosmos Data Science.
