Job summary

Harris Health in Houston seeks an Epic Clinical Systems Analyst II to ensure the operational interests of clinical areas are represented in the IS Department. This role supports the Epic Clinical applications deployed across the Harris Health System.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Information Systems or Clinical Informatics and 2+ years of IT experience in healthcare, with Epic certification preferred. On-site work and after-hours support are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Clinical Informatics or 4 years IT experience in healthcare.
• 2+ years IT experience; 1 year in hospital/healthcare organizations.
• Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record System (Epic preferred).
• On-site work and after-hours availability.

The Epic Clinical Systems Analyst II ensures that the operational interests of their respective functional areas are being fully represented in the day-to-day operations of the Information Systems Department. This role supports the Epic Clinical applications deployed within the Harris Health System.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelors degree in an Information Systems / Clinical Informatics related field or 4 years of related IT experience in a Healthcare environment.
• Work Experience (Years and Area):2+ Years within I.T. One (1) year Hospital/Health Care Organizations.

  Understanding of functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented/supported.
  Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously, be able to prioritize effectively, and meet overlapping deadlines
  Understands the limitations and opportunities presented by the applications supported
